Pros: You have a book and all of his exam questions technically come from that book. If you only miss 2 classes, he adds an entire point to your final average. If only less than 30% of the class gets a questions right on an exam, he drops the question. He's good with snow days. He tells some interesting stories. Homework is reading.
Cons: Exams are hard and his lectures don't really help. You have to read the book and study a lot to do well. He has a strict attendance policy so don't take his early class if you like to sleep in.
Very nice professor! Seems to genuinely care about his students and attempts to make class interesting.

Pros: Rick Mattar is an actual practicing attorney. His experience enables him to teach the material from the point of view of someone that has to apply that material every day professionally. His methods and his teaching are both extremely practical.
Cons: Rick Mattar is an actual practicing attorney. This sometimes makes it difficult to contact him outside of class hours.
It was a priveledge to learn law from someone whos livelihood depends on it outside of the classroom.

Pros: He's a really great guy and seems to know what he's talking about.
Cons: He wastes too much time showing us videos, though he's just trying to loosen us up, and so he gets off track.
