Pros: For Carlevale you really wont have to worry about homework other than the readings he assigns. For Roman civ there were no papers or homework assignments, just quizzes and exams.

Cons: The quizzes and exams can be really difficult. Everyday in class he goes over what he thought was important from the reading, so the material can be dry when you read it the night before.

He can be hard to read. I feel he is a really nice guy, but it seems impossible to make any real connection with him. Good guy, but not my favorite professor.
