If you want to pass this class without learning anything, but with a good grade you do not deserve, then Prof. Margulies is the one for you.
His grading scale is as follows: 0-25% - D ; 25-50% - C ; 50-75% - B ; 75-100% - A. There are two midterms, each worth 25% of your grade, one final exam worth 25% and homework assignments worth 25%.
If you turn in homework on time, and write your name properly on the homework, you get full credit, meaning, you're guaranteed a C in the class even if you get straight zeros on all exams. His grading on the tests consists of 3 possibilities for each problem: no credit (0pts), half credit (5pts), or full credit (10pts). If you do each problem partially right, you're looking at 50% grade, or a B for each exam.
While his grading scale is hard to believe, you will understand why he does it in the first day of class. Prof. Margulies cannot teach you anything, cannot write legible (by the way, he cannot read his own writing), so good luck learning anything.
At any rate, I had fun taking his class, and it was the easiest course ever (grade wise).
