ENGL 214
AMERICAN LITERATURE
5
If you read the books you will do fine on the tests. Just knowledge of the book and a few terms from class, don't have to know how any themes or deeper meaning stuff. One paper. Had to read 9 books, but nothing else.

ENGL 357
FILM LAB
4
Pros: He gives a lot of extra credit and isn't extremely strict about when to turn it in. He definitely wants his students to do well.
Cons: Lectures can sometimes be a little hard to pay attention to. Also you have to write a 3500 word essay to get an A (I recommend starting that early!)

Pros: Your only assignment is essays and you can revise them as much as you want.
Cons: Material is old and boring, although Palmer knows a lot of interesting stuff.
