Pros: Really knows a lot about the items that are examined in this course (Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, etc.)
Reading is sometimes better than the lecture as it will allow you to understand what he discusses in class better
Cons: A lot of places covered in 10 weeks (40+ in Winter 2010-2011).
Drones on a bit
Rushes through things if fall behind the other section
Exams are fair, just need to know the vocabulary and places covered throughout the course to be well prepared for slide comparisons and the essay.

He is very accomodating for engineers taking his courses, the workload was very light with studying only required for the midterm and final. For writing intensive credit you did have to grade a paper. He graded Architectural Engineering essays very leniently.

He is the man for sure! He knows a lot of stuff and he expects a lot. Although his test is not that easy, but he curves a lot. Do the paper. After you have taken his class, you will know how good he is compare with other history teacher

Loved this teacher.. Really easy to cheat on his tests.. As long as you know the basic info about every building, you can B.S. the your essays and get a B+ in the class.
