Pros: He seems like a really genuine wants-you-to-learn type of professor. Most people like him and his teaching style to my knowledge.
Tends to skip only the most basic algebra steps when working problems on the "board" - good or bad depending on how you look at it.
Cons: Hung-up on attendance. He doesn't take attendance (thankfully) due to the large class size, but he will on occasion give out a test-question answer in class that would be nearly impossible to answer without having been there (his attendance points or extra credit) - questions are such as "what's your favorite fruit????"
I don't recall him curving any grades, but he might have so I'm not entire sure.
Extra credit just comes from "attendance" points where he asks an absurd question on the test and gives you the answer in class.
To my knowledge the textbook wasn't ever used in-class but I hardly attended, and I use it for my own study of the material.
Workload isn't too bad, he doesn't take up homework so it's mostly just what you decide to do yourself.
I have hearing problems so in a big auditorium such as the one we were in I couldn't really hear him regardless of where I sat, too much background noise from the other students. Due to this I quit attending class and started studying the material on my own.
