He requires attendence by taking a little quiz everyday on material covered in class. The quizzes are open note. Even if that doesn't mean much to you, most of questions on tests are based on material that he covers in class (what he calls "real-world examples") and they are extremely detailed. He does curve the tests based on the outcome, so if you found the test really hard, don't worry because it'll be curved about 5-10 points. He gives lots of opportunities for extra credit and they can be as simple as participating in class. Really fun guy

Downs is a pretty nice and funny guy with a dry sense of humor. Go to class everyday because his TA's do PRS quizzes each class. His tests can be difficult if you don't devote a lot of time studying, but the student notes at Bills are always a good supplement to have.

Pros: If you do the quizzes you get all the points regardless of what you get. Also, he gives out a lot of the exam questions prior to the exams so if you memorize the answers you'll do fine. Also, there is no book needed all the exams are only what we go over in class. Class overall is pretty easy he also gives out a lot of extra credit as long as you participate.
Cons: Because the exams are only on what we go over in class if you don't take notes you won't do that well. But if you go to class which you have to anyway to get the points for your quizzes you will do fine. I missed a lot of class but I just bought a study guide every time on what we went over in class because I don't take good notes and I got a B in the class.
His class is awesome, he is a high energy professor and brings in a lot of interesting things that relates to marketing instead of just reading off the powerpoint like a lot of the other professors do.

Pros: he is very entertaining in class and enthusiastic with what he is doing. All quizzes are PRS and most often the answers are given to you. 30% of you grades consist of this!
Cons: Classes is entertaining but it doesn't prepare you for the test. You'll feel like you know everything you won't come test time. Everything discussed in class is testable sometimes even things that seem insignificant.

Cons: Attendance mandatory for after class quizzes.
Really easy class. Just Show up and take decent notes and test questions come from his study guide and the little note taking you already did. Definitively take him.

Pros: Really funny guy. He makes Marketing easy to understand and class fun to go to. You can tell he really knows what he is talking about. Tests can be hard, but student notes along with really good notes taken in class will ensure you a low A or high B easily
