CGS 2100 - MICRO APPL FOR BS/EC
Easy computers class if you know what you are doing. Any computer techy will do well without so much as opening the book. Others will have a tougher time, but the course is not very hard.

Pros: NEVER have to go to class.
Cons: He changed the course for Fall 2010 semester so some of the steps for his project don't make sense.
DO NOT BUY THE BOOK! You don't need it. All of his PowerPoint notes are online along with study guides. There's a midterm and a final exam. If you do the study guide (which I highly suggest doing) memorize it. The exam is the same exact thing. It's even in the same order. The projects are easy except for the last one which got kind of confusing. He put step-by-step videos online on how to do it, though, which made it easy. Take this guy. It's an easy A!

Pros: The projects are laid out for you just follow them step by step and give yourself plenty of time.
Cons: The projects take a very long time and can get confusing sometimes. Give yourself enough time before the date to do the projects and ask your TA for help if you get stuck. They are very helpful. Like answer giving helpful.
Easy class, alot of terms to study for the exam but they are in order from the study guide so just memorize.

Pros: Assignments are very straight forward.

Give you all the instructions to complete Assignment. Just be sure to follow all directions.

He posts up video tutorials for everything he wants you to do for each assignment anyways, so its very hard to do bad on the assignments.
Cons: Exams arent that easy. Definitely have to study some. But he provides all powerpoint slides and notes.

great guy, but I never went to class (it was only once a week) because he said that if you do the projects and show up for the tests on the day you signed up for them, you didn't need to come. so far I have an A, but we'll see. He also puts the entire powerpoint on Blackboard (online) so you can teach yourself very easily.

Pros: Though I made Cs on the exams, as long as all of the assignments and quizzes are completed and earned As, you should come out with an A or A- on the course.
Cons: The material from the tests never seemed to match the study guides.. I came out with Cs in both after quite a lot of studying.

Pros: He is easy to talk to, funny, and he goes through every step of the projects in class so you can do the whole thing right then and there.
Cons: Nothing, he's a pretty cool guy. Oh, and his cute little granddaughter shares my name. :)
