Professor Grigorian is tough but fair. If you don't show up late, and if you don't text/sleep during class, then you won't have a problem with him and he will go out of his way to help you succeed. He does study sessions before tests, and...

MAC 2312 - CALC W/ANLYT GEM II
Pros:
He knew what he was teaching very well and he was willing to help you try and understand it.
Cons:
He expected you to be as good as he was at every problem. He once put a problem on a test that you would only know how to solve if you went to his office hours and asked him about (test only had 8 problems). His tests are insanely hard with tricks to solve the problems correctly.

FAST teacher, HILARIOUS class though, NEVER EVER be late, ALWAYS show up to a quiz even if u dont know it, HE REMEMBERS EVERYONES FACE... If you bring some to class that doesnt belong he will point them out even if there is 200 other pple in the class... believe it

very good teacher if you would like to continue in math, however if you are just taking it for credit sake i dont reccomend using him. He is a fantastic instructer but he pushes you very hard, but you will learn more with him than any other math teacher.

Pros: Amazing teacher. He'll help you a lot with his help sessions. He really cares about his students...but, you have to work for your grade. His sarcasm and cynical attitude is hilarious.
Cons: some may hate him because they complain his tests are "too hard" but honestly all his questions on the test are from his notes.
I've learned the most I've ever learned in a math class from Grigorian. His teaching style and his genuine care for this students are superb. This does not mean, it's an easy class though. You have to solve a lot of problems. You can't READ math and you have to SOLVE them over and over again. But, if he sees that you are trying hard, he'll help you....a LOT

Cons: yells at you if you are a minute or two late, very unapproachable, tests don't seem fair or give enough time to do the material. only way to do well is if you have already taken this type of course in high school and know the material already.

He's not a very kind man, and wastes a lot of time getting sidetracked. I learned trig by studying on my own. We just didn't click. It's not too horrible of a class as long as you keep up with it on your own.
