Pros: He teaches what he wants you to know and the exams are decent. How well you do is mostly based on your study method. Quizzes and Homework assignments are extra credit that is added into the overall test scores to bring up your grade. He is approachable but to the point which makes him seem a little unfriendly at first. He knows how to keep the class awake in the morning and he knows his stuff.
Cons: He is usually a little late for his office hours ,but he has a sign on the door that invites people to wait. His bluntness and expression makes it seem like he is the wrong person to ask questions. Don't take offense when he says the equivalent of "look it up" especially when its an easy question. At the end of the semester don't ask for extra credit.
If you want to pass this class: Take good notes or have a buddy that will get them to you. Do the chapter homework, even if you know that you won't be able to turn them in. Attend recitation. The TA isn't always the best but sometimes Hilinski will have us turn in the assignments. Ask questions if you don't understand something. Find your own study method. If you do better teaching it then do it with a buddy. If rewriting the notes is your thing do that. If listening is your best bet, get out that recorder and recite the notes clearly and correctly sometime after class. It'll help. Good luck

Pros: Good Orgo Professor HW is 2 pts extra credit Quiz up to 10 pts extra credit Generous partial credit all the time Consistent
Cons: Terrible office hour teacher Doesnt give you answers to practice exams or worksheets until the day before the exam.
Quizes usually only have ONE question on them.

Pros: Quizzes and Homeworks are extra credit. Doing well on your quizzes will nearly guarantee you a good grade
Cons: Do well on your first test, they always get harder
Great teacher overall. Study quizzes because the tests are based off of them. A lot of work, but going to lecture will help you to do well

Provides worksheets for Extra Practice

Cons: Puts a lot on the Tests so it's hard to finish in time.

Kind of mean sometimes.

Isnt the worst teacher you could have but isnt the best either.

Pros: Puts notes online. Gives practice test for each test that is very similar to your test.
Cons: Organic chem is hard in general so it takes a lot of effort!
