The pop quizzes are for extra credit and are open notes. The only time I ever used the book was for the problems. You HAVE to do the assigned problems if you want a good grade. The tests are manageable if you study. If you miss a class, you can catch up on your own.

Genuinely nice and helpful. He cares about each persons understanding of the material, and will go out of his way to explain different things. Has a great sense of humor and is enthusiastic about the material which makes class enjoyable.
