CHEM 313 - Organic Chemistry I
She reads straight from the power point slides, which go with the textbook. Gives a few "quizzes" throughout the semester for extra credit (the quiz consists of you writing your name on a piece of paper and turning that in). Hard topic to understand but the tests aren't impossible.

Reall good teacher--just come to class prepared. She doesn't only read off the slides--she explains them and is always willing to stop for questions. The exams are a bit more complicated than her study guides indicate--so make sure to do practice problems from the book--especially ones that use multiple reactions (including ones from previous chapters). Technically the tests aren't "cummulative" but try and stay refreshed on basic reactions because they will be in the tests

I had her for a 7:30am class so this might be different than her normal classes. She read directly off of the slides in class and if you had a question she'd just reread the slide she was on.

Pros: She never gave us any assignments or homework. Showing up to class wasn't necessary.
Cons: Lack of homework/assignments meant we never got practice for her trick-question exams, and you only didn't have to show up to class because she lectured straight from her slides for 3 hours.
Ochem is hard in general, but she was never helpful and made it much more difficult than it should have been. Also, she is extremely rude when you ask her for help & she automatically assumes you don't understand something because you didn't practice enough (even though she never gave us an practice problems).

reads off the lecture powerpoints.

exams are nothing like her sample questions.

do not teach.
you have to do a lot of self learning. if you can't self learn, you will fail this class.
