Generally sarcastic and hateful of all government-run/related institutions but he knows what he's talking about. It's essential that you attend class in order to pass. Exams are difficult, but extra credit is generally available.

Amazing Professor, great charisma and very interesting course. Exams are a killer though. Definitely buy the Anthology book written by him, very important even though it is listed as an "optional" resource.

He really believes in what he teaches, and applies his personal experiences as examples. Make sure you go to class often or else you will get far behind because he teaches at a fast pace.

He knows his stuff and makes every class enjoyable. Quizzes you straight from the notes and the only book I ever bought in his class (or used) was Menger.

One of the hardest teachers on campus, but very knowledgeable. Don't make the same mistake I did and use his office hours while studying for tests.

Pros: Such a passionate, interesting professor to learn from. Extreme libertarian, but backs all the claims he makes with data. I love coming to class. A great speaker, he will make you laugh, anger you, and even cry at all the stupid things the government does. May seem intimidating at first, but a sweetheart and very approachable once you get to know him.
Cons: Too many books, 6 required. However, the midterm only has 1 question from the reading. 2 papers: 1 personal opinion 6 pg, 1 research paper~ 15 pgs due at final. Be prepared to write a good amount, as class is pure lecture, and Rustici doesn't do fluff.
The Rustici Experience is a necessary part of an econ student's academic carreer at GMU.

Pros: Teaches you a lot of information and expects you to know it. Makes class very entertaining and he connects well with his students. He is always willing to help you and doesn't make things hard for the sake of making them hard. Good amount of extra credit on the exams.
Cons: The class is very difficult. He teaches so much info and sometimes he moves on assuming you know exactly what he is talking about but that isn't always the case. Exams are tough and you must do a lot of note taking in order to pass. He doesn't really use the books that much, but they can help if you skim them.

Pros: If you major in Business or Econ, this is it, you don't have to look elsewhere
Cons: Ridiculously hard test, I'm majoring in Computer Engr, taking all the tough classes in Math, Physics and CS and passed all those with relatively high grades but had a big F in this class
Take this class if you want knowledge. Stay away from it if you don't want a significant drop in your GPA

Pros: Everything comes from his tests.
Extra credit on every test.
Cons: His tests are really tricky(the multiple choice)
Learn the way he speaks economics and thats how you pass the test. Also, he uses basically the same test every year, just get someone's old test from his class and study from that. Other professor's tests wouldn't cut it it must be HIS test.

Cons: His tests are really hard.
He has extra credit on all his tests. Even if you haven't read the articles they are referring to, attempt to answer the questions. He almost always gives you points for trying.
