Pros: He doesn't grade homework, so it's kind of optional. He really has a lot of knowledge about his subject matter.
Also, if you are among the top 20 or 50 people in the class at the end of the semester, the final is waived.
Cons: If you don't keep up with him in class and do the homework on your own time, you WILL GET LEFT BEHIND....VERY FAST.
About pop quizzes. At the beginning of the semester, he tells you that he could give quizzes at any time. Although he never sprung a pop quiz on my class, it's good to stay on your toes and keep up to date with the subject material. The keys to passing his course are
1) Listening attentively in class
2) Practicing old tests and exams
3) Keeping up to date with class material

Pros: His Exams are literally the homework and what he rights on the board
Cons: The homework is never turned in (no credit) and he gives no partial credit and makes off if you forget units
This proffesor is actually pretty good once you get used to his style. A note, He loves switching between US and SI systems
