Pros: - He has a great sense of humor.
- He is really helpful in office hours.
- The class is really exciting and 90 minutes felt like 9 minutes.

- Chastain is arguably the best professor at LSU. Take Chastain!
- Tests are departmental (each test is written by a different professor.) I can't remember if they were 4 or 5 (including the final.)

Pros: good teacher
Cons: material was hard
He was a great teacher, and he curved at the end. He also let us work together for the quizzes. There was a quiz every class, and it was mainly for attendance. The quizzes were clicker based, no scantron needed.

Pros: Funny and interesting teacher who explains physics very well
Cons: Homework was excessive (7-10 multi-part problems due twice a week); courses are taught as part of group of sections so Chastain does not have final say over tests, grades, etc.

Pros: Really knows his stuff, patient, and a great teacher. Also, he's a funny guy.
Cons: The material can get intensive and tests are usually more difficult than any of the homework.

this is actually a rating for chastain's physics 1100, but that wasn't an option to select.
but anyway, chastain is a really good teacher. he not only knows a lot about physics, but he's able to teach it really well. and he knows that not all of the concepts are easy to understand, so he makes sure he explains those thoroughly. and he always answers questions. his tests are not easy, but you can do well on them. you just have to study your notes and definitely practice a lot of problems. i got a B in the end, and i'm very happy with it.
