She knows her stuff and communicates it well. TONS of bonus. I have made a 90 on one test and an 84 on the other and still have a 99.97 in the class. Her homework is hard but the tests are generally pretty easy so you are well prepared if you do the ...

CHEM 1202 - GENERAL CHEMISTRY
If you are committed to it, this class is a breeze. This, however, is not a "study the day or week before" type of class.
Pros: She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. NEVER miss a quiz and ALWAYS do the homework...that will make or break your grade. She is willing to help you always and can be pretty funny at times.
Cons: She can be hard to understand at time, but mostly she is just hard to follow. In her class chemistry becomes your whole life. You eat, sleep, and breathe it and then probably bomb the test.

CHEM 1202
GENERAL CHEMISTRY

Pros: Dr. Cook is the best professor to take for CHEM 1202. She explains the material in a way that the students can understand.
Cons: Dr. Cook's exams are extremely difficult. If you study, then you'll be fine; you have to study though! She never curves the grades (only the final).
Don't take an easy professor just to get an A, because the final is made by the chemistry department. All the professors give their input, so the final is extremely hard and it weighs a lot on your grade; however, Dr. Cook curves it.

CHEM 1201

Pros: TONS OF BONUS POINTS, for both quizzes and hw.
Cons: kind of hard to follow (polish accent) but it gets easier.

the material takes a lot of time and effort to understand.

She is a good teacher and knows the material. This is not an easy A, but it is definitely doable. You have to go to class to get the notes. It takes effort to get all the bonus points but if you do that you should get an A. Final got curved 15 points

Her homework is hard but the tests are generally pretty easy so you are well prepared if you do the homework. For the first 10 or so chapters there is a bonus quiz at the end of every one. Most of the pop quizzes and in class stuff is all bonus

CHEM 1201

Pros: Gives lots of bonus opportunities, very organizes, tries to make jokes (most of the time, they aren't funny but at least she isn't a mean person)
Cons: Don't take her class early in the morning, you must be there to understand the material; make sure your cell phone does not go off in this class or she'll make you leave
I would suggest this teacher just not in the morning time

Pros: -Makes it rain bonus points

-Prepares you very well for the final

-Has notes that are printed off already, you just fill in.

-Oh, did i mention, she makes it rain bonus points.
Cons: -Tests are unpredictable as far as difficulty

-If the classroom gets loud, God forbid, the test will be hard if she has to stop her lecture for a prolonged period.

Sometimes you might think she is too high-schoolish, but don't be fooled. She's a very good teacher, explains concepts very well. She might not seem so hot at first but feel free to see her about any problems you may have, she's very helpful that way. Be ready to use a lot of computers though, she uses mastering chem for homework!

Prof. Cook explains the material very well and pretty much has the notes laid out for you in really easy to understand terms. Just print the power points out and fill them out in class as she lectures. Easy A.

Pros: Gave quizzes for bonus points throughout the semester only if you go to class. If you knew how to do the homework, then you should do well on the test.
Cons: Some of the questions on the tests were tricky and made you think. Also, sometimes some of the questions from the homework were extremely hard to figure out.
Really cool teacher at office hours. She helped me when I had trouble with the homework.

CHEM 1202
GENERAL CHEMISTRY

Pros: Great teacher, offers tons of bonus. She gives you a template of notes to follow, exactly like she does in the 1201 class. The best part is that she DEFINITELY prepares you for the final.
Cons: Aggravating accent, can be a real female dog, her class requires a lot of time understanding the material. Do NOT take this class if you're expecting it to be as easy as the 1201 class.

CHEM 1201

Pros: Knows the material well

Gives entire semester's notes at the beginning of the semester (but it'll cost you $15)

Clicker questions are 100% bonus

Cons: She stops class completely if the talking gets too loud

Like I said, you have to buy the notes
She is definitely one of the better teachers for Chem 1201, especially if you've never seen the material before. Highly recommend!

Pros: she gives a lot of extra credit
Cons: she is the worst teacher in the field of chemistry on this earth. Mastering Chemistry is impossible because she gives you baby examples in class but the online homework is stuff senior level chemistry majors would have trouble with
take hopkins. He is a hard teacher but you will be glad when you are able to understand the homework

Pros: gives atleast 2 take home quizes a month which count for bonus.
Cons: found her to be rude. and didn't really care how you were doing in her class.
I took her for both chem 1201 and 1202 thinking since i knew how she taught it would be easier. i was wrong i ended up with a C both times even though i did all the extra credit and attended every class.

Pros: Always willing to help you out during office hours. She's a really nice lady who doesn't take crap in class, so make sure you pay attention. I made an A in this class, but it wasn't easy. Study study study!
Cons: Large room sometimes makes it difficult to hear her, but that's mainly because people suck and talk the whole time.

Pros: Gave a good bit of extra credit and notes were pretty straight forward. Just have to study a good amount to do well
Cons: Homework was nothing like the notes

On her tests she works out the problems half way and wrong and she puts those as answer choices which tricks you big time
