Do not take this class thinking it is easy. It is not. Studying for hours for a test might get you an 80 after the curve. The guy knows his material, very smart. The tests are just out of this world in difficulty. Take notes in class and read over his study guides he posts for each chapter. Read the book too.

Pros: Extra Credit paper for 10 points.
Knows the information very well and can answer any question on the spot.
Occasionally makes funny jokes.
No homework except for personal studying.
Cons: Must read book on your own. No homework for studying or points. Lectures on slides with just pictures and fails to state that he is talking about important test information.
Knows his course material extremely well. Pretty cool personality.

Pros: He knows everything about RNR. He makes jokes and talks about strange methods we use to deal with unwanted fish or plants or whatever that makes you laugh. hawiian shirt fridys are pretty legit. curves over 10 pts each test.
Cons: he tests you on very small details. you have to go to class every day to get detailed notes. write what he says more than what is on his slideshows.

Pros: I was sick during one of the tests we had scheduled and emailed him explaining my situation not expecting sympathy and without a problem he rescheduled my test for another day the following week
Cons: most questions come straight from the power points in class so you have to pay attention he goes really fast at times
great teacher but you have to go to every class to make an A

Pros: Extra credit assignment, curves, outlines on moodle and study guides
Cons: Computer based testing
If you go to class and listen you'll make an A however, it's hard to make yourself go to this one. If you get a hold of someones notes you'll end up with a B. Beware though: The computer testing makes it difficult and tricky. Not as easy as you'll think- but not as hard either.

Pros: Entertaining not a dull lecture teacher. Knows his material and can explain it well.
Cons: He is a little sporadic at time he knows so much about the material that he likes to throw in material because it is interesting but may not be on the test.
Don't fret taking classes by Dr. Kelso he is a nice guy and really cares about his students.

Cons: ties everything into global warming and everything were doing wrong as a society.

Pros: Give you a 50 point bonus project that's fairly easy. The class is pretty boring, but he tries to make it as enjoyable as possible. Nice guy. Curves every test.
