Dr. Pan is a great econ teacher. You take 3 midterms and she drops the lowest one. As for participation, when you go to class and take her "quizzes" (for which she gives you the answers) you get an additional point for each quiz you take added onto your next test. AWESOME TEACHER! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Easy teacher. Lectures are horribly boring...you cant understand her accent. As long as you go to class every day you get bonus points each day that applies to your test. You get bonus points for just going to the test, and bonus points if you take all 4 exams (lowest exam dropped)

Pros: very fair grading
Cons: CAN"T SPEAK ENGLISH!!!
You will not be able to understand this woman, i promise, but the grading system kind of makes up for it. You should still go to class because she gives extra credit quizzes (i know the other reviews says she gives them everyday, but she does not do that anymore. I took the class in fall 2010, and we got 7 extra credit quizzes.) The quizzes get averaged and tacked onto your final grade and the answers are given in class. I got 4 points added to my final grade so i went from a B to an A.

Pros: Five extra bonus points to final grade
Cons: accent is a killer
So this class isnt hard at all. The average of the HW is a test grade and her test are easy as hell. Take her if you dont want to stress over econ. Oh and the book is just a waste of money!

Straight out of Asia. She can barely speak a word of English. DO NOT TAKE HER IF YOU CAN AVOID IT. You will not be able to understand her. She may have a doctorate, but when it comes to explaining things in English, she's an absolute retard.
