Flexible and responds promptly to e-mails. TA is on a power trip, but Adrienne is pretty cool. Class is hardly worth the effort, should be an easy 4.0.

I 4.0 this class. All the notes are online but I still attended almost every class. She basically just reads through the powerpoint so its boring, but she adds hints if it will be on test. Labs are EASY, just read the instructions and do what they say. Test are Easy/Med if youve gone through the notes the test should be easy. No H/W. No Quizzes. Decent amount of extra credit, normally a quesiton or two on the tests.

Not the most exciting professor, but she's straight forward and very nice. She assigns five "labs" which are really just online homework assignments. They were all pretty easy except one, and she gives a lot of extra credit. Her exams have some tricky questions, but for the most part they're pretty easy. I'd definitely recommend Domas.

GEO 221. 4.0 this class. She reads from powerpoint so classes are boring, but she gives clues to tests or some extra information. Everything is on ANGEL. No Homework. No Quizzes. Labs are fairly easy, just read the instructions. Tests are fairly easy as well, if you attended class or read through the powerpoints online you should do well.

Domas is a very, very nice woman. The information in her lectures is straight-forward and pretty easy to understand. If you have any questions about the material, she will help you. She's new to teaching, so that's a small flaw, but she keeps her lectures running smoothly, and very rarely will keep you the entire class time. The online assignments are not fun, but she gives you plenty of time to get them done, and they're not too challenging if you don't leave them for the last minute. Exams are of moderate difficulty, but she gives a study guide for your own assistance. I'd take another class by her if given the opportunity.

Great teacher, makes the subject pretty interesting and gives lots of examples of East Lansing and surrounding areas to make things easy to understand. Exams aren't too bad as long as you pay attention in class and go over the study guide once or twice. The scavenger hunt project though was pretty much make or break on your grade, since it was 150 of the possible 350 points in the class and all three exams combing (including the final) were 150, so the scavenger hunt is pretty much your final in the class. As long as you get a good group ya should be fine, 4 pointed the class and finished the project the night before.

Well, first off Domas is a pretty hot skinny, young blonde with a little bit of a southern accent. I went to every class and paid attention because of that, but also because she is passionate about the material and teaches it well.

The tests were easy multiple choice; T studied a combined probably 2 hours for all three and got a 4.0 on all of them.

All the powerpoints are online if you don't want to go to class, and she keeps you updated on extra stuff that happened in class by email.

If you want an easy 4.0 in ISS, take this one, and you get the bonus of looking at her.

Domas is one of the worst professors I have had in my four years at MSU. She reads directly off the PowerPoint which means that going to class is a waste of time. The book that is assigned is pointless as it provides such a vague description of course material if it is in the book at all. The lectures are realllly boring and she does little to make students interested in the material. The exams are really detailed for an introductory course in Geographic Information Systems. Overall I would recommend taking this course with another professor.

Fantastic Professor, young, pretty, and makes sure that you understand the material. This class was one of the only classes that I went to. The lecture can get boring and I've fallen asleep once before, but she makes the material easy to understand and refers so East Lansing a lot.

You'll learn to love to read the news after this class and if you go over the study guide, the tests are pretty easy. It's not a blow off class, you have to put effort into it, but it will pay off. I highly recommend her as a teacher and she gives extra credit too.

I loved this class. My 200 level ISS sucked ass but this one was great! We always get out of class early and we have alot of in class discussions so if you dont like sharing your opinion or your class is quiet it will probably suck. Adrienne is really nice and really cares about you (she actually knows you by name) You only have to write 3 papers, 2 pages double spaced which she grades pretty easy (i wrote all mine the day before), and the exams are easy and she gives out extra credit opportunities.

Take this class if you want an easy ISS

I was not impressed with Adrienne as an instructor. She is 99% reliant on powerpoint slides during her lecture, meaning that she basically reads them to you during lecture like it's storytime down at the public library. Made coming to class pointless and a waste of energy, as she posted the slides for the lectures on ANGEL. Textbook was vague (at best) and was essentially pointless to own.

My advice? Take this in its online component. She's fairly good looking, but no reason to waste time coming to class all semester.

Pros: she's really relatable, if you go to class and take notes, its an easy class. one big project thats not bad at all if you dont leave it for the last minute
Cons: if you miss a lot of class, youll be behind and will miss a lot of material. and it can be a little boring at times.
overall, i really liked her. the homework is easy and doesnt take long, she offers extra credit, and the project isnt hard at all. She's easy to talk to and understanding about issues. an easy iss class if youre willing to go to class

Her lectures were pretty easy to follow and interesting because you learn about each region of the world. This class is based on three reflection papers (ranging from 2-3 pages), two exams and participation. There is a lot of information in the class, but the study guides were helpful. The second exam (non-cumulative) was the week before finals, which was nice. She gives you a lot of extra credit opportunities. I learned a lot from this class and I would take another one with Professor Domas.

Decent professor. She was not difficult but her 50 minute lectures did not help very much. I rarely went to class because it was so early. She is very nice however and with more effort I'm sure my grade could have been better. The course material is interesting, its essentially a glorified Google maps class. But it becomes more difficult as it goes along. She does offer extra credit and the labs are a GPA booster. If you must take GEO 221, she is not a bad option, just ok.

Great Teacher.

She enjoys what she is teaching and is nice!

Also gives Extra Credit which was great!

OH yeah... and the class was very small(only class I have had at MSU with less than 30 people!

I hated almost all my ISS and IAH's, but I enjoyed her class!

take her class!!!

She is really nice and cares...

Only negative thing is that she does not have actual office hours, but if you talk to her she really cares about you!

This class was kinda a joke. I didn't go to very many classes. All th powerpoints are online. I read through them from the given study guide the day of the exam and got a 4.0. you have to attend class to see the films and should try and skim through the extra reading but its not alot of work at all. She offers alot of ec and will curve the class if she needs to. take this iss if you need one

Pros: Nice and approachable professor. Makes students feel very comfortable.
Cons: Lectures can be dry but its a required ISS class so I suppose that is to be expected
Info is kind of common knowledge. I maybe studied for an hour over the entire semester and talked with my friend through most of the lectures and got a 3.5. A nice and easy option for an upper level ISS.

I really liked Adrienne, she makes the material pretty interesting plus you watch a lot of movies. The tests were okay, a few were easy, but others were kind of difficult. however, the class is scheduled for 1 hr 50 minutes but she most always lets you out within 45 minutes or an hour. good class.
