Book used "a little" because there is some information you might have to refer to the book for. Homework is rare and easy, most of the time it's group work. Quizzes are rare. Just a midterm and final really.

Pros: Good teacher. Very excited about what he is teaching and very excited to be teaching it. Good resource for people who are entering a media profession.
Cons: Large class size makes it difficult to catch everything he says. Quizes are based on very small facts from the readings. Long readings for 5 question quiz on them.
Good professor. Would like to have again but in a smaller class setting.
