Pros: Great teacher, very dedicated to his students and definitely dedicated to ensuring you learn comprehensive Chinese and not just a few simple phrases. I disagree that you will not learn Chinese, you will get out of it what you put into it. You have to want to learn the language, if you're not practicing it then you won't learn it and that's not a reflection of the professor. I'm on my 4th semester and am definitely learning Chinese.
Hands down my favorite class and professor at ODU.
