INTERNATIONAL ECON
4****
I've had him 3 times. He knows his field extremely well, and can lecture without the use of notes for the most part. Always three equal weight 30-40 Q multiple choice non-cumulative exams (in his intro courses there is also a quiz during final time worth 10%, also multiple choice and non-cumulative). He is fairly strict and has a biting sense of humor. However, if you put in the work his class is very straight forward; no HW, class is done before reading days, tests are not easy but basically all from the readings he assigns (although I def recommend going to lecture, its not 'mandatory' but he goes over the material that is more important and explains graphs well etc.). Bad rep because a lot of people don't like his attitude and you can't boost your grade with HW/extra credit but if you don't like extra work like that and can handle exams he is your guy for econ classes.

Pros: all you have to do is read the book
Cons: he is a miserable sob
Clare is one of the most miserable human beings ive ever met. The class though is quite simple, i went to five classes all year..the first day and then only to take the tests. there is no reason to go if you read the book.

4****
Pros: No homework and only exams
Cons: Exams are midterms so no final but there is a quiz at the end

No electronics can be out
Gives a decent lecture but the things he writes on the board are hard to see. He is overly dramatic when presenting.

he sticks to the book, but if you are a good note taker and go to every class, you really don't need to even buy the book

He sucks. He teaches straight from the book. Very boring and his examples are a bit confusing. Doable but not recommended.
