She talks very very quietly, even with the use of a microphone. 3 tests including the final make up your entire grade. I did poorly on my first test and went to her office hours to talk to her about it. She offered me absolutely no help. If you're really good at history, you may have a better experience, but otherwise, the only way you're going to make a good grade in this class is if you study a LOT.

If you are good at history and go to the lectures and read the book you should be fine, but people who either don't like history or are bad at it don't have much of a chance. She gives NO curve or extra credit, all you have are 3 test grades (that includes the final). I would NOT recommend her

very tough class; although if you like a challenge / want to learn history and remember it then take her. i spent more time with her tests than my phys 208 tests

One of the worst profs ever. Tests are pretty difficult unless you can read from the text and remember everything. Does not emphasize during lectures what will be on the tests. Lectures very fast and does not like having to repeat herself when asked. Does not do review sessions or curving for grades.
