This class is determined by the amount of work you want to put into it. Firstly, there are 4 tests throughout the semester. The first test was decently hard. However, the best way to prepare for her tests are to use the study guide at the WCL available to check out when needed as long as someone isn't using it. Do the questions for each chapter in the study guide and read over the outline. Also, do the problems in the book at the end of each chapter because they provide additional questions that are vary similar to the questions on the test. Finally the most important thing to do is go over the outline closely while reading through the book until you feel comfortable with the material. There are a lot of little footnotes that contain some of the random stuff that will better explain something if she didn't explain it well enough to you. Also, in class pay attention to what she says closely and when she says something not written on the outline try to write it down. Doing all of this should get you an A but obviously being a law class = a lot of freaking work...

I really enjoyed this class. I took it honors and Hailey was a great professor. She really makes the class interesting and gets the students involved in discussions. She has notes that you should buy that help outline the lectures. Most test material comes from lectures and class notes. The tests are MC, True/False, and short answer and can be tricky sometimes. You really have to know the material well, but she gives you all the information you need to know, so the exams are very fair. You will have a couple of papers during the semester and a lot of case summaries to write outside of class, but they are pretty manageable. Hailey is great. I loved the course!

Hailey is a great prof. I went into the class not knowing what to expect, but now it's my favorite class I've taken at A&M so far. She knows what she's talking about, and she knows how to communicate that well through examples. Her tests will be hard if you don't study, but if you make sure you understand the material in her notes packet, the test will make sense. The class is really interesting so it's easy to pay attention.

Pros: It requires quite a bit of work, but it is easy to adapt to it.

Cons: Short answer question on the test as well as multiple choice

Really a great professor. She works hard to make you understand and the class is pretty interesting. Don't let the case briefings deter you, this is a good course.

If you don't mind a little writing, take Hailey. If you hate writing, take Swim.

Pros: REALLY knows her stuff; very entertaining, I would take this class even if it wasn't necessary to graduate; she is very lively, but also does a great job teaching the material

Pros: She was very nice and tried to make the class fair. there is a lot of extra credit for attendance and homework

Cons: It is a challenging class. her tests are hard and you really have to know the material

She is a very sweet prof who really wants to see every one do well. If you come to class she will give you bonus points also which is awesome!

Sweet lady, although there is plenty of extra credit available the class is difficult because of ambiguously worded exam problems.
