3 Exams, a final, OWL homework, quizzes, and clicker points make up your grade, so if you're not strong in one category, you can make up for it with another. OWLs... well they suck. They take FOREVER to do, and oftentimes they cover material that hasn't been taught yet so you have to self teach yourself along the way. But they do help you learn. The quizzes were fairly easy. He gave 17 or so quizzes and takes the best ten, so it's really easy to get the full 20 points worth of quizzes that goes into your grade. Tests are fair. He doesn't try to trick you like other profs. He seems like a nice funny guy, but to be honest, I don't ever pay attention in class, so I can't exactly say if he's a fantastic teacher or not. He uses clickers and you get points for simply putting in an answer, so that is the only reason I go to class. I go to A+ and learn everything from Ali in just a few lessons. Because of A+, I pulled off an A on two of the tests and a B on the other. Overall, it's not too bad. Just go to A+, and start on OWLs EARLY and you should easily pull off a B.

Knows what he is talking about and is happy to answer any and all questions. Writing is very hard to read at times. Makes lots of jokes in class which helps keeps a boring subject entertaining.

His class definitely isn't easy, but if you don't mind hearing stories about cats and stuff...he isn't too bad. Chemistry 107 is just hard.

Pros: His tests are fairly easy and cover exactly what you learned in the class

Cons: He goes on tangents and is sometimes rude to the students. His final is extremely difficult... It usually is a compilation of all of the most frequently missed questions from the first four tests.

Pros: The SI tutoring was extremely helpful!

Cons: What he goes over in class didn't seem to be covered in class. There are so many OWL's assigned in bulk don't fall behind!

I would ask the TAs (instead of him) for help to operate the machines and other stuffs.
