he definitely knows what he's talking about, howeverrrr.... he mumbles constantly. doesn't really get anywhere in his lectures. he wrote his own book so the stuff he talks about in lecture (or attempts to talk about) is directly from the book. make sure you have that to study for the test.
his test are really really map based which sounds easy but it's not. he asks ridiculous questions about the maps and expects you to be an expert for the test, which obviously we aren't or we wouldn't be taking the class to learn.
his lectures ramble on and on and seem never-ending. he's real big into pictures of touristy things like texas signs and stuff and that's what his powerpoints are mainly comprised of. don't expect very good notes from his powerpoints.
there is a landscape project where you get to take pictures of your home town and make a portfolio thing which is actually really fun to do and it helps a lot with your grade in the class since his tests really just make you feel like an A or a B is out of your reach.
apparently he curves really good at the end, but i'm not sure yet. i still have the last exam to take and my landscape project to turn in, but i'll let y'all know the outcome of this class asap!!

Pros: Nice guy! He tries to make jokes in class to keep it interesting. The class is pretty easy. He almost always curves the tests, so it makes it easier to get a better grade.
Cons: The material in class can get boring sometimes and it is hard to not fall asleep. The project is somewhat time consuming and I suggest trying to get it done over Spring break or Thanksgiving break to relieve some of the work from it. He is also very specific on his tests and it is crucial to know details. He focuses on exact latitudes and longitudes of certain features on some of the test questions, but it is just a matter of memorizing them.

Pros: Comes to class prepared, very knowledgeable, likes to show pictures to keep it somewhat interesting, he has been to most of the places he discusses, gives a huge curve at the end.
Cons: Terribly boring lectures (and I like Geography), mumbles occasionally, has a weird sense of humor that no one gets, tests are extremely difficult (study the book a ton!), grading system is ridiculous so you won't be able to calculate your grade until the end.

Likes to tell jokes that aren't that funny, but everyone knows he's trying, so nervous laughter ensues. He's a really cool guy and really knows his stuff. Lots of pictures on slides.

Does not prepare you very well for his tests. Study ALL THE MAPS and study ALL THE CHARTS! He was fairly "tricky" with the first exam.
