Pros: Warning: I'm going to be very biased, because I won 20 extra credit points on my final, which boosted my grade froman 87 to a 95! Ura is the BEST Poli Sci teacher, and I definitely reccommend him. He is young and charismatic, and he has a young sense of humor. He is probably conservative, but his lectures are NOT biased, so I had to come to that conclusion after hard analysis... Attendance isn't necessary if you keep up with the reading, but the lectures certainly make the exams make more sense. Plenty of extra credit opportunities.
Cons: All of the extra credit opportunities come with strings attached. You have to compete for them, so just because you do them, doesn'tmean you'll get any points. Also, your grade is based on 3 exams, that's it... So study.

Great Instructor and very relatable. He really trys to make politcal science makes sense in a common sense kind of way. Need to study for tests, but if you read the chapters and just listen in lectures you'll be fine. He curves tests sometimes and gives extra credit if you win his review game. Thoroughly reviews before each test

Joe Ura has a great 206 class. He's interesting and keep things on a very relatable level. The grade is based on four tests which he will curve if needed but generally doesn't because the tests aren't too difficult (especially if you read the book). He gave us a few extra credit opportunities as a class and has a quiz game before each test that give you big extra credit on the test if you win. Very nice guy and one of the best communicators towards students that i've experienced.

Great professor! His lectures tend to get a little boring at times, but the information he gives during the lectures are great and appear on the test. Definitely recommend this prof to anyone taking POLS 206.
