Pros: He's the department head, definitely knows what he's talking about. He can teach the material well and doesn't find it necessary to make the tests ridiculously long and hard, only as hard as they need to be to make SURE you understand.
Cons: Virgin ears beware

he is an awesome teacher. his tests aren't that hard. you definitely should study, but his tests are DIRECTLY from his notes. i haven't opened my book once this year. he gives you opportunity for extra credit. and he gives 2 media summaries for every tests where you have to find a recent article based on psychological research. all you have to do is summarize it and it's due 24 hours after the test is over, but you can turn them in anytime before that.

Psychology Of Learning

Pros: The course material is easy to comprehend, especially with his teaching style. The class is entertaining and informative. The tests are a fair assessment of what you are taught, though being in class is an absolute necessity because you will not understand his notes otherwise.
Cons: There is no work other than the tests. You can do the essay portion before the exam and bring it with you the day of the exam, but those are the only grades in the class. He does offer extra credit after each exam worth up to 5 point to be added back to your exam, though.
In general, a great class.

He's a good teacher if you listen to his lectures and take notes. Go to class even though he doesn't take attendence.
