Pros: MY FAVORITE TEACHER AT UCLA BY FAR! She does not believe in exams so she only assigns papers and assignments that are worthwhile and fascinating! In addition, the readings for the class were really interesting! We also watched many movies and had fascinating guest speakers! You don't have to attend lecture to do well in her class BUT if you are anything like me, you will WANT to go!
Cons: The ONLY con is that you have to turn in weekly journals and her class entails a paper or two more than most classes. However, her grading is very lenient and I learned a great deal from every assignment.
