Pros: When you can understand him he is pretty funny. He really knows what he is talking about
Cons: VERY difficult to understand accent! So hard to understand that it is easy to miss very important concepts
If you can take a class with Chan that is a smaller discussion based class....go for it. If you are planning on taking a huge lecture course with him...drop.

Cons: You need to sit close to understand everything...
Just go to class or read the assigned reading and you should be fine...
