Esam is an awesome Arabic professor! He his Sudanese and has a great understanding of English. He is always willing to help if you do not understand something. He gives quizzes every Friday which are super easy because the homework he gives every week is practice for the quizzes. Three exams, beginning, midterm and final. The books are helpful but you will not always need it. Some homework came from the workbooks.

Pros: Always willing to help no matter what. Whether it's a question inside or outside of class Esam always always will answer questions to get students to understand better. He is available at his office almost all the time and arrangements can be made to meet at times other than office hours. He also lets you come to either section of class because they are taught the same and allows you to take exams and quizzes early or outside of normal class time if he can.
Cons: Sometimes he does not take enough time to explain concepts in class because of time or he just doesn't do it for a long time. See him in his office or outside of class if you have questions.
