Though there are no projects, he does assign a paper that is due on the last day of class. For exams, he gives a study guide. 26 questions, 6 will show up on the exam. Its 5 short answers, and one essay. But, prepare for it, and its no sweat.

Pros: I went to lecture 3 times the entire semester and attended discussion and still did well.
He wrote the book.
Cons: Your grade is highly dependent on which TA you get.
He wrote the book.
D'Anieri is a good professor if you are interested in this subject. They key to passing this class is to read the book and have lots of applicable examples. His exams are all short answer/essays but if you have a general understanding you will do well. Since he goes once a month to advise the president about certain foreign affairs, he is pretty well versed and recognized in his field.

Pros: Literally wrote the book on International Relations. Good communicator, and gives a study guide including all of the test questions in advance.
Cons: Preparing for the tests is a lot of work, and all of the grading is left strictly to the TA's. Whether or not you can get an A depends on which TA you are assigned to.

Pros: Great Lectures, Smart Professor, Interesting
Cons: T.A.'s were soley in charge of grading papers. Big discrepancy in grades between T.A.'s and major biases in paper's grades.
Amazing professor, if you can take a B+ or A- if you get stuck with a bad TA I'd suggest taking a course with him because you'll learn a lot.
