Naibi looks like she knows what she's talking about, but the class is generally boring unless you find certain parts of Astronomy interesting. She has a thick Cuban accent and tends to not enunciate English very well. The book is not required because she lectures off heavily worded, boring, and long powerpoints every class. STUDY THE NOTES A LOT. There usually is only the midterm and final but sometimes she may help others who didn't do so well on the midterm by adding more exams to help the final grade. Most of the test material came from the notes and others were stupid oblivious questions. AGAIN, READ THE NOTES A LOT BEFORE EXAMS. The projects are easy and extra credit is provided, but the exams are the major part...GOOD LUCK!

Pros: Compared to the other teachers who teach this same course, she is by far the least complicated. Assigns random group work that are only counted for completion.
Cons: Hard to understand because of her accent, lectures contradicted the book, crams tests in when she runs out of time, lets students out early when she knows she has lots of material to cover thus running out of time to cover it all, doesn't answer emails. For an introductory course, this class sucked!
Only take this class if you're comfortable with teaching yourself from the book. DO NOT rely on Marinas to teach the material to you.
