CHM 2045 - GENERAL CHEMISTRY
VERY hard class! Do not underestimate! DO the last years tests. Just because he tells you ahead of time whats on the class does NOT mean you are ready.
Pros:
Mitchell really tries to prepare you for the class. He tells you ahead of time whats going to be on the test, and a lot of the tests are the same as the previous years with different numbers.
Cons:
VERY hard class!

Pros: very enthusiastic professor
Cons: extremely difficult class
extremely hard class. i do not recommend taking this class unless you have a strong background in chem. he is the best chm professor at UF, and is a great teacher. the tests are rediculous though. impossible to make an A unless you are a chem genius. its not the professor that is super hard, just chem at UF

Pros: He's entertaining and can keep your attention. Always gives a nice intro into orgo at the end.
Cons: His lectures are misleading in that the exams are very tough. He tends to oversimplify some things. Concepts emphasized in class don't translate over sometimes. Get used to the book.
Pretty cool guy but difficult to get a good grade in the class. Mastering Chemistry sucks. Takes up too much time you could be studying.

Pros: He knows his stuff.
Cons: He was never rude to me, but I've sat in his class and see him say some stuff that made me be like, "Really, dude?" Also, he speaks too quickly and at many times he expects you to know things. You're a professor, if someone doesn't get it, teach!
I felt his tests were pretty hard. Study up!

Pros: Knowledgeable. Willing to answer questions.
Cons: He has little interest in chem 1 because the majority don't become chemists and drop after exam 1...which he says all the time. His tests are absurdly hard.
Do every practice exam ever and you'll be ok. Do weeklies!!

Cons: Never goes in depth
Writes the test and tells you straight up that he will make it as hard as possible
extremely hard class. start studying a week before your exam and look at the old exams

Pros: Never had to contact the professor, so no problems. The entire class is online, reading, homework, quizzes, and exams. No final. Just read the chapters, and try not to get behind and getting anything but an A is almost impossible.

Cons: No curve @ end. Unfair questions. Poor teacher assistance & final is cumulative and worth a lot

This is a ridiculously hard "intro" course. Homework assignments aren't too bad and then reading quiz questions are impossible. Avoid this class if you can.

Cons: Can be a little skeptical and "rough around the edges."
