Mocko is a good Stats professor, her only weakness is she goes real slow so watch the lectures on fast speed. DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK unless you want to read about topics you do not understand. If you need to the textbook for practice like homework or other stuff before the tests, go to the Science Library and use it in the library for a couple of hours. ONLY BUY THE WORKBOOK FOR LECTURES. If you want to help yourself more, go to Tutoring Zone. Stay up to date with quizzes and labs. TAKE IT WITH MOCKO, NOT RIPOL, REPEAT NOT WITH RIPOL! ONLY MOCKO!

Don't buy the book it is a waste of money. you'll need the workbook for labs. labs are very easy and so are the weekly quizzes. Mocko is a very fair teacher, but the exams are very difficult if you don't know the material inside and out.

As long as you watch the lectures and do the Quizzes you should honestly do fine. The people that i know that did poorly in this class didnt watch the lectures. Mocko generally does a great job explaining everything. She talks extremely slow, however, you can speed up the lectures and watch the in 35 min or less.

Pros: online quizzes are easy and you get three tries.
Cons: The exams are pretty difficult if you don't have prior knowledge in statistics but they are definitely doable if you study hard and go to tutoring zone.
Megan Mocko is the better of the two STA2023 professors! Definitely take her if STA2023 is a requirement for you.

Pros: Good, thorough lecturer. Class attendance not mandatory, as lectures provided online. Weekly quizzes and labs give opportunity to boost grade. 3 dropped quizzes/labs allowed.
Cons: Course material is boring. Lectures very slowly, which is great for understanding, but if topic is understood, it's time for double speed.

Pros: She has a firm grasp on the material and makes it very understandable. She is also available for questions at almost anytime. Her tests are also right from her notes, which are based out of a workbook she co-authored.
Cons: The tests are hard; they not only test your skills with a calculator but also challenge you with concepts and ideas about the topics and definitions you learn. Don't skimp on the lectures or the review sessions; they are very important if you want to do well.

Cons: Personally I think she is incredibly boring, but then again, it might just be the topic. I also can't stand her constant misuse of the English language.
