You HAVE to read the book in order to do well in the course. The tests come from both the lectures and the book material. There's a breakout that goes with the course too and you must attend these. You'll get extra points added on to your ending grade if you attend a certain amount of classes.

Pros: taking notes in class is easy

Cons: must read ALOT out of class

Tests are not straight forward and focus on small details rather than the bigger picture. Beck keeps the class interesting by sharing interesting stories, but it very monotone. You cannot do well on tests unless you do a lot of out of class studying. You learn much more out of class than you do in class. I would not recommend this class unless you have to take it. It is not an "easy" class at all.

Pros: Dr. Beck knows alot about what he is talking about. He is always prepared for class with power points and alot of data graphs that help you understand trends. He is always available for help outside of class. He was always very helpful and after meeting with him spoke to me after class saying he had looked at my test. No attendance policy

Cons: 3 test. 33% a piece.

Pros: taking notes is easy

Cons: must read a lot outside of class

tests are not straight forward and focus on small things such as statistics that one usually doesn't pay attention to.

overall, if you're willing to study you will do well. I took this class during summer mester so it was at a fast pace.

Pros: great teacher, interesting and easy to understand

Cons: Not many tests and no other grades

Really good teacher, funny and interesting, tests kind of difficult, but if you go to class, pay attention and read what he says to you should do well. I definitely recommend him.

Pros: Great teacher! Makes class interesting despite the sometimes boring powerpoints

Cons: Your grade is only based on 3 tests so you have to do well on those.

Very nice guy! Knows what he is talking about! Take this class if you are a good test taker

Pros: He is very upfront. What you see is what you get. Three exams, no make-ups. No quizzes. He has a dry sense of humor and likes puns, and I enjoyed his class!

Cons: Three tests? Better do well on all of them.

Pros: He is very nice. It is easy to take notes in his class. Not difficult topics. Test not too difficult.

Cons: Three exams make up your entire grade.

If you take notes and read it is not a bad class at all.

Pros: The class is fairly interesting, and the professor's funny.

Cons: In order to get an actual good grade on the test you need to do a lot of reading and studying.

The class was decent for an intro class.

He makes the class enjoyable and has really funny jokes throughout lectures to lighten the mood. easy to pay attention and do well

Cons: Only lectures outline and you have to READ the textbook for test.

Pros: Good class, easy projects. Exams are take home but difficult. Content is interesting
