If you go to class everyday or most days and take decent notes, you will do fine. Her tests are structured around her notes, and can get detailed at times, but nothing impossible.
Pros:
Great instructor, very knowledgeable about the subject (I took her for Psychology of Agression), and tough but fair for tests.
Cons:
None- take her class is you can.

She is a simply okay teacher. If you are a freshmen I do not advise you take her class because she doesn't teach, she reads powerpoints that she does not make, the creators of the book made them. I think she is a decent teacher for students who already have a grip on what to expect in a college classroom. She also mentions a lot of studies in class that are not included in the lecture notes and sometimes are not in the textbook, so make sure you take notes and pay close attention. Also believe what the book says because she had a few times where she phrased things differently from the book or made altogether wrong statements about the information presented in class. P.S Be ready to listen to many...many stories about her kids.

Pros: Attendance is not mandatory, most questions on the exam are straight from the textbook, mypsychlab is an excellent resource for the class, she drops the lowest online chapter exam and test, and she's not too bad to look at either
Cons: tests have 50 questions so it's pretty hard to get an A on them, before each exam you have to do 3 online chapter exams on mypsychlab before midnight, the final is cumulative so lots of coursework is covered
I stopped going to class after the 3rd week of the semester because all she really does is read a lecture off a powerpoint. Each exam covers 3 chapters from the text so you can really just read the chapters and use mypsychlab to study for it. For the final go to the TA and review old test. That's what I did and I saw lots of previous questions from each test on the final. Overall the class is pretty easy it's kinda hard to get an A in it. I got an A- but I'm sure if I went to class everyday I would've gotten an A. However, it was totally worth it not going to class.

Pros: Not a terrible class. Teacher is very nice and there is no attendance or quizzes. She relates things to herself and makes lectures somewhat interesting. Posts everything online. Easy online homework due before tests boost your grade. Drops lowest exam grade. Don't have to attend class to do well in the class.
Cons: Tests are pretty specific. You have to considerably study to make A's. She reads off a powerpoint that is not made by her. Final exam is cumulative and required.
Overall, not a terrible class. The lectures are pretty much straight from the book and if you study for a couple days before the test, you'll most likely do alright. Tests are somewhat specific, but you can usually narrow down to the correct answer. Teacher is very relatable to the students most of the time.

Pros: Dr. Cyterski does try to make the information more interesting by adding examples to her lectures.
Cons: The material is general pretty boring. While the subject material is easy, she words questions on test in a way that is confusing. Sometimes even when you do know the material you miss the question due to the way she asked it.
I would pick another teacher...

Pros: The book is very helpful. She posts powerpoints.
Cons: She doesn't teach much. She gets off topic easily.
She posts the powerpoints long after she lectures them. Sometimes she'll post the majority of them the day before the test. The powerpoints have nothing extra helpful. It seems like they come straight from the book. Seems wasteful.

She's a good teacher I guess. Kinda has really specific tests... 4 tests... take 3 for your grade (21%, 21%, 21%). then a 27% final... and 10% for two small 2-3page papers... easy to tell she has 10% A's at the very most per semester..

Pros: My favorite teacher! She is so awesome, really. I made A's on all the tests and all it took was reading the textbook and studying and taking the mypsychlab tests online. She shows lots of really cool videos and she's always using funny stories that relate to the material. REALLY AMAZING!
Cons: None except the 6.5 hours of psychology experiments, but that's required for all psychology classes
She really is amazing! She's made me consider changing my major to Psychology as long as I got to have her for everything. I definitely recommend her to anyone. The only grades were 3 tests and one final and then the chapter exams on mypsychlab due before each test. Super easy, not hard at all to get an A in this class!

Pros: - She's a really nice Professor and takes the time to help you out.
Cons: - She has assignments in class that are graded and counts 15% of your grade so keep up with the material.
- The 2 projects is the research paper you have to write up for the class. This paper is 22% of your grade (7% rough draft+ 15% final). I wasn't lucky, and I had a TA who worried about my grammar rather than the material.
She's a great professor, but I would have taken it with another professor had I known what exactly I was getting myself into. Other professors allow 5 students to work on the research paper instead of working by yourself & they also have no tests.

Pros: Nice lady
Learned a lot
Very approachable
Cons: harder than the other 3980 teachers
giant research proposal paper
pop quizzes pretty frequently
Have to study a lot to do well on the test
I really enjoyed Cyterski, and don't regret taking her. However, I had to work much harder than my other friends with other 3980 teachers to get a lower grade. I ended with an A- but with a lot of work. The assignments are kind of difficult and are on what you learn that day most of the time. The book is awesome and absolutely necessary. She takes some of her questions from the end of chapter exercises so look at those.

Pros: very interesting class, learned a lot
tests all multiple choice, just over great deal of info
Cons: WAY to much material covered one each test. I had to study for hours on end for each one and then there was a cumulative final
her questions are also specific so you have to know everything really well...and anything from the entire text AND her notes is fair game
Her class is bearable and enjoyable--she often shows entertaining youtube videos. However, the bookwork is insane. You have to be ready to do a whole lot of reading, and I noticed it was a ton more work than other intro level psych classes.

Pros: Don't have to attend class
Cons: Tests can be based on seemingly random things from the book
The grade you receive for this class revolves solely on how well you prepare for the tests. There's a lot, and all the material is straight from the book. There is no reason to actually go to class if you're dedicated to studying the book. She will give you a test (not the final) during finals week, though, which is really annoying. The tests aren't too hard, just make sure you don't prepare the night before.

Pros: Homework assignments on MyPsychLab are open-book.
She is very nice if you have to talk to her
Attendance is not taken
Tests are basically replicas of the MyPsychLab homeworks.
Cons: She is weird as anything. Expect to hear TMI stories CONSTANTLY about her kids and husband.
She doesn't lecture, she just reads off powerpoints that she didn't make herself.
If you thoroughly read the book and do all the practice exams, you will do well on the tests.

Pros: Class is straight from the book. Just read the chapters and know them in detail. You have to do chapter exams for each chapter, but they are online and you can use your book. Questions are 50 multiple choice, no essays. 4 exams plus a final, and she drops the lowest exam.
Cons: She doesn't lecture very well and always seems frazzled. Questions can be tricky and specific.
If you want a relatively easy A, go for it. She's pretty good.

Pros: Really nice
Powerpoints are online
Tests aren't that bad if you read the book and powerpoints
Chapters are short so reading isn't bad
Not a lot of work
She's a good teacher, she doesn't assign a lot of work. The main "project" is a research proposal, it's hard, but for it being the only real assignment, it isn't that bad. The lectures correspond to all the portions of the proposal as well, so it's not hard to do.

Cons: She didn't make her own powerpoints

If you read the book, you will do fine on the test. I rarely study for her class and I'm sitting with a 92 in there. There are 4 tests and a final. She gives online assignments (1 per chapter) and are graded, very easily done with book.

Pros: She's really funny and entertaining. Makes the class really enjoyable
Cons: The online tests are kind of annoying, but do well on them if you can! They're only 5% less than the actual tests.
Make sure you do the psychology research ahead of time or it will really come back and bite you in the butt! But besides that, great class and great professor. Definitely recommend taking her class!
