Pros:
If you have the old tests, you will get an A unless you somehow blackout during the exam period. I found him pretty interesting and he sometimes sounds like Mr. Mackey off South Park.
Cons:
Slides can be rather boring.

MGMT 3000 - PRINCIPLES OF MGMT
Just to give you a heads up, here's what one of Pirkle's test questions generally looks like,
"Think back to when I pulled up Starbuck's website in class. What product was Starbuck's advertising on it's homepage?
a. Premium Roast
b. Via
c. Mocha

"Think back to when I pulled up Starbuck's website in class. What product was Starbuck's advertising on it's homepage?
a. Premium Roast
b. Via
c. Mocha
d. Ground Coffee Beans"
So...yeah...expect those types of questions.
Pros:
He's a nice, easy-going lecturer. Despite what many people say, the random things Pirkle says and shows in class, that are unrelated to the subject at hand, are actually pretty interesting and useful from a real-life perspective.
Cons:
The random things Pirkle says and shows in class, that are unrelated to the subject at hand, make up about half of his tests.

Takes random attendance in class. Overall exams are pretty easy but he does ask questions with picky little details in them from class discussions on websites, articles, etc. Easy homework- usually 1 per week and most are just graded for completion.

Cons: Boring. All he talks about is China.

Pay attention in class. He uses info in class on tests. Examples in the powerpoints are basically the whole test each time.

Pros: Optional final.
Cons: You won't learn anything.
His exams are over random and unrelated material.
Very monotone.
Hard of hearing.
He could care less about teaching or your opinion.
He's the worst teacher I've had in college. I've never seen a class in college actually group together against a teacher. He had to spend about half a class fielding our criticism about his teaching and his exams. What it boiled down to was he really didn't care. Only take him if you have absolutely no other choice. If you do take him, memorize all the seemingly meaningless and random numbers he mentions in class (China's GDP in 2007, Toll Brothers IPO, Zipcar's age restrictions, etc.). You won't actually learn anything, but I've yet to learn anything in my MGMT classes anyway.

Pros: Pirkle is a nice guy and really smart, the final is optional, no work other than the tests
Cons: The tests are very detailed and difficult, they cover very broad topics and numbers that were mentioned once in class on a website or in an article, he says that everything he says in class can be put on a test and he means it, the lecture is very boring and hard to pay attention to, if you don't sit in the front 3 rows you can't use your computer, attendance is checked almost everyday

Pros: If you are good at memorizing random facts and are usually a good note taker or have previous semester's test...take him
Cons: test on random facts, did't really learn any useful material
slept through more of his class, really boring, He's probably a good MBA teacher, MGMT3000 is too broad for him. I usually study the night before his test and memorize everything and so far i have a 95 in the class (be warned, 1st test, ALL NUMBERS!)

Pros: I literally cannot think of anything
Cons: His tests ask ridiculous minute details that you would never think of studying. An example of one of this test questions is: "What was the exchange rate of the yuan in 2007?"
You will waste your time and breath not only sitting in the class but studying for exams that will NEVER prepare you for the real world.
TAKE ANOTHER TEACHER.
