BIOS 101 - Biology of Populations and Communities
Do any sort of practice exams he may put up on line...they help tons!
Pros:
He knows a lot about what he teaches and his enthusiasm is what makes it interesting. As long as you read is slides and listen in lecture you will do fine.
Cons:
He goes off topic some times with side stories you do not need to know for exams and he likes to put small details from the book as questions on tests too.

BIOS 101 - Biology of Populations and Communities
It is very hard to pinpoint what will be on his exams. He wanders off during lecture a little too much. He is a nice man, and gives students an almost surefire chance to get at least half of the points for the semester locked down with basic work.
Pros:
Very Knowledgeable in his course and are of expertise
Half of the points in the class are almost sure lock in's
Cons:
Lacks ability to successfully communicate during lectures.
Exams, which are half of your grade at least, vary from the lectures, to the book, to the lab, and to his stories.

Cons: he didnt't make it clear what was going to be on the tests, you basically have to know the notes very well along with the particular chapters and of course a his little side notes that he takes about in class...the tests are pretty difficult but as long as you know everything (notes, chapters, and his lectures) very well and the material from the previous exam you'll do fine...im getting a B now and im pretty sure thats what its going to stay at

Pros: Relatively easy course.
Cons: Lectures rarely held my attention. Dr. Molumby often goes off on tangents mid-lecture, leaving students wondering what exactly is the point being made. Labs were a breeze, and I feel as if I got little to nothing out of them as well as the discussion section.

Pros: always uses examples in his exams, he is very challenging when it comes to homework but it stimulates your mind and also gives you a different perspective as well
Cons: if you have issues with english or speaks english as a second language and don't understand vocab, he's not the professor for you
The way that he grades can seem unfair
He's a great professor and a cool guy, he does review before an exam and he's very understanding.

Pros: laid back teacher
dont need book
straight forward
grades posted same day
labs are fun
Cons: Grading is nuts!
unheard of to get an "A" on tests
Genetics test you will fail
Class is okay if you get good lab partners, if not you will have more work. Tests are alot of situational questions. Genetics test almost all of us got D and F's in a class. Clicker questions are easy points. lecture is online, everything is on his website.

Pros: Entertaining in lectures. Overall a good teacher.
Cons: Lectures are not often coordinated with the labs, so you are stuck figuring out how to do things for the pre-lab.
Assignments are due in chunks, so some weeks there is a light amount of homework, others there is an incredible amount.

extremely hard tests. never curves. likes the test avg to be 60% because he is "challenging the students but not too much." the problem sets can get tricky. depending on the TA, they can grade hard on reports and problem sets.

Not a hard class, but he rambles about each subject so its hard to know what is really important. Its also, hard to do well on his exams without any past exams, because of his lack of focus in lecture.
