I particularly did not like ARCH170 because I found the subject rather boring and the assignments, although easy seemed pointless and time consuming. Despite this, Professor Eisenbach is a great Professor, who has very visually appealing slides during her lectures and is very enthusiastic about teaching. It is easy to take notes in her class because she spends a lot of time talking between each slide. The only downside is that she dims the lights during the lectures to making the powerpoints more veiwable, but makes her class very sleepy.

Lectures are dry, but she enjoys teaching. Tests are straight-forward. Although notes can be found online, I found it helpful to combine and review lecture notes and online notes simultaneously for test study guides. Text books were a very big waste of money, try to buy only the supplement.Only after the final I felt i learned a lot in arch.

Very easy class. Do not need to attend lecture just go to your discussion and complete assignments on time. There are only 4 assignments that take maybe an hour or two's worth of work. Easy A

Class is not too hard. Worst part is long, involved projects that are a big part of grade. Teacher is okay, can be very boring and not very enthusiastic.

Overall an interesting class. Not too hard, the tests can be tricky The projects, while interesting, were a schlep to do, to go to DC and can take a long time. She can get annoying when people come late to class and leave early. I would recommend going to office hours for your TA before each assignment is due, its very helpful.

Pros: She is very nice; is willing to talk with you. Rarely gave pop quizzes, and only gave them for attendance.

Cons: Some of the projects were frustrating to work on.

Fun class, it was a nice change from all my calculus based classes. Manageable amount of work.
