Always a fun professor. Her accent is easy to understand after a couple of lectures. The only issue is that she presents everything by a series of overhead notes which are not put online. She also takes attendance at every lecture. This means you have to go to them and you usually leave with a book's worth of notes. This being said, you should not pass up a chance to take a class with her as she is very knowledgeable and at times entertaining. Lectures tend to get tangental and don't always give you a perfect understanding of the subject which isn't helped by the fact that you are scrambling to copy the notes down as she speaks.

She takes attendance at her lectures and she tries to keep everyone engaged in the lecture, however it is hard because there are 300 students and she assigns copious amounts of reading which is hard to remember for her questions the next day.

Works through the TA's. Thick Jamaican accent. Types up notes that she uses with her lectures. Goes through them very quickly, never posts them online. Can't pass class without going to lecture or getting the notes somehow.

Pros: Pretty light work load, just two 5 pg papers and a final paper and a couple presentations, and there are no tests just a few quizzes. She really knows a lot of stuff and knows how to get a good discussion going

Cons: She assigns a good amount of reading and sometimes gives pop quizzes on them. Also, it takes her a while to get the quizzes back, and its hard to know what your grade is.
