He's really difficult, and you have to go to lecture. It's hard to learn from the slides alone. Exams are basically multiple-multiple choice. Lowest grade is dropped. If you work hard, then you'll probably get a good grade.

overall he gives analogies that will help ones understanding of biology a lot better, simplify concepts that some of the other professors might not do. Drops 1 exam, thats basically the curve. Exams are overall fair, not easy nor extremely hard. Have to study from lecture notes and go to class to ensure at least a B.

Great teacher. I took it when it was team taught with Professor Kent. Really helpful and I learned a lot in this class. Not only did I learn biology and understand the material both teachers helped me learn new ways to study and how to be a better student.

Pros: Intelligent
Cons: What is talked about in class is not the only thing on the test
Higgins is a really nice guy, he's funny but I didn't really mesh well with his teaching style. Also it was a pain that he got lazy at the end of the semester and stopped posting MasteringBiology homework for about a month. Then he randomly started posting them again, he grudgingly gave everyone an extension on a Mastering Biology homework that no one knew existed. Classes ended on the 10th and we have an assignment due on the 15th, the day before the final. It just seems weird.

Pros: he's funny
Cons: he has terrible lecture notes. his lectures are extremely abstract, but his exams are very detailed...so pretty much your clueless. I guessed his whole exam. 90% multiple choice (as far as I can remember). He teaches this course with jefferey <-- he's much better and easier.

Pros: super nice, funny, kept an early class awake most of the time, clear and knowledgable
Cons: kind of stubborn in his ways but willing to work with you
I liked Higgins a lot and would suggest taking him from BSCI105, I may even take him for another course

Pros: He's really energetic and really takes time in explaining stuff.
Cons: However, he goes too fast in class and if you are a person who takes notes in class you have to write really fast. I prefer jeffery 100x more.
He's kinda hard.

1*
Pros: Easy to get a B
Cons: Hard to get an A

The class is co-taught, Jeffery is a great teacher while Higgins is a jerk. You can only lose 40 points combined over the course of 2 exams and a final in order to get an A -- basically impossible.

You can learn a lot from Higgins. But you gotta put much time aside for the class. Group studying can help a lot. This is a kind of class you have to understand the topics being told. memorizing won't really fly by.

Good teacher. He knows what he talks about. Good lecturer but hard to follow because he had a tendency to try and make a lot of jokes.

Cons: His lectures make no sense. They're based on these random equations he pulls out of his butt and then tests you on without clearly explaining them. And he can be an ass hole. I learned nothing from him.
