He's an easy teacher and very fair so its not hard to do well. However he can be really annoying if you havw him two semesters in a row. Real corny and says stupid jokes. Means well though and isnt that bad.

Pros: He really knows what he's talking about. Having a professor who knows what he's doing and who knows how to teach the material clearly and efficiently is SO important for math, and Professor Pilachowski does all of this.
Cons: He tries to be funny, and most of the time he is, but the only thing I'd "complain" about is how he repeats his jokes... but obviously this has nothing to do with the actual course/material!
If you want to learn Calculus (and more importantly, PASS calculus) take it with Pilachowski. But, you still definitely need to do the homework and study if you want the A.. but you already know that, right?

Pros: I found Pilachowski to be somewhat amusing. Overall, the class wasn't bad at all, as far as course load and information goes. I breezed right through it.
Cons: I tended to be bored during lectures.
I had attempted MATH141 before this, so this may have been why I found MATH221 to be much easier and breezed through it.

Pros: awesome lectures!

always goes through a bunch of examples after explaining the derivations of certain equations.

approachable.
Cons: no curve and his exams were pretty tough unless you studied. ;)
he was one of the best math teachers I've ever had!
