I love Dr. Shofner! She's THE best Bio professor I've had so far! She's really sweet and very flexible with her time! Definitely willing to help as long as you put in the effort and ask her for the help!

She puts the powerpoints online, so you never have to go to class. She drops one of the three midterms, which are all memorization. Its a lot of memorizing, but if you do it, its easy.

Pros: She's very sweet and a super patient teacher. Her lectures are very interactive, and she treats the class like it's high school. Don't need to go to lecture (unless you benefit from taking notes while listening to lecture like me) because all of the notes are on Elms.
Cons: The material can be pretty boring, and a lot of it builds on each other. If you don't understand something, you really can't skip it and hope for the best; you need to figure it out.

Pros: Easier than Via ever was. Good balance of tests. Lab portion is relatively easy. If you can keep up with the material and read often, should do well in the class without problem.
Cons: Sometimes hard to keep up with PowerPoint presentations in class. Better to read over the material during your time. Give much time to review material.

Pros: extremely nice
Cons: pretty boring
uploads all lectures online so you don't need to go to class but lectures are sometimes vague and full of pictures with little explanation, all in all I would not suggest her over other BSCI106 professors

Quizzes are given in the lab. Its a weekly pre-lab quiz. Kinda annoying
Good class to take because you can drop one of the tests.
