BIOL 1230 - Microbiology
Pros:
he is funny in a corny sort of way and he enjoys teaching. ive had microbiology with both professors and Wong was a way better teacher than Chung. he gives he extra credit for attendance on two random days and takes the two best test grades. he also gives you extra credit if you finish 12 of the 15 online quizzes. his powerpoint slides are also accessible online. he is fair and knows what he is doing.
Cons:
microbiology is a very hard course and you need to read every chapter thoroughly after every lecture. Wong should have had more appointment times available but other than that he was a good professor.

Wong is very wordy, detailed, but he does have funny stories. LISTEN TO HIS STORIES, they are examples on his exams. There are 3 exams and 1 final exam. There are quizzes every week, 19-20 questions on each quiz, however you need to be ready to look through the book in 30 minutes. Either read or look through the book like crazy. I have even goggled some answers for quizzes. Exams are basically quizzes and his funny examples. Very wordy and detailed exams of course, just like his lecture. Exam has 50 questions. He adds 2 extra credit points for the two rolls he will take and 5 points for a completion of 12 out of 15 quizzes. A total of 9 points is added on your final grade. Also, 1 out of 3 exams will be dropped. It is very easy, just don't forget your quizzes or test dates! Lab helps with the class as well!

Pros: Funny Funny guy! Lots of the test questions come from the quizzes assigned as homework. Quizzes are also opened book but you have 30 min to complete it. He drops your three lowest quiz scores
Cons: Not everything he talks about will be on the test and things he wont ever mention at all are on the test.

Pros: Gives extra points for attendance but doesn't take away points.
Cons: Hard to understand. Gets off subject some. Very difficult course.
Study the chapter quizzes on ecourseware to do better on the exams.
