History of Economic Thought

Class is very interesting and corresponds a lot to an intermediate economics course - usually microeconomics. So try to take both in the same semester. Course is rigorous and lectures are given orally without any aid (i.e. powerpoints or outlines)

Elmslie is a good teacher, but he has a tendency to ramble and waste your time. There are reading quizzes on Blackboard before each new chapter, but you can sit there with your book to make sure you got the answers right.

He's not a very nice guy, he made my best friend cry when she went in to see him for extra help, I'm sure he knows his material very well but his exams were very tough and the material he covered in class didn't seem to help students prepare for them.
