ASTR 101
Introduction to Astronomy: The Solar System
5*****
I love Dr. Reichart. He is the most adorable little guy and he LOVES what he's teaching about. I rarely used the book, he goes over everything in lecture. You have to do these online "homeworks" for every lesson (a lesson usually consists of about 2-5 lectures) and he goes over the answers or how to do the problems in class, but if you miss something just go to office hours - he is very helpful and nice =)

I am a humanities major and only took a science with lab because I had to - having said that, I'm glad that I picked astronomy with Dr. Reichart. He explained difficult concepts in an informed, enthusiastic and accessible way for even those of us who are not very good at math.

ASTR 101
Introduction to Astronomy: The Solar System
5*****
Pros: you were allowed a cheat sheet, front and back, for every exam with whatever you want on it.

he was a WONDERFUL professor. he was SO passionate about his work and it made you passionate as well. I unfortunately took the class just because I was unable to find anything else to sign up for (the woes of being a first-year) and I had a lot of harder classes to concern myself with, so this class fell to the back burner. I would recommend this class though if you are not a science major and need a science and lab!

ASTR 101
Introduction to Astronomy: The Solar System
4****
Pros: He's awesome. He is your typical nerdy astronomist who loves to talk about all of the telescopes he's building around the world. Pretty well known in the field, which is cool. Also, he lets you take in a cheat sheet to every test and THREE CHEAT SHEETS for the final.
Cons: Sometimes the lectures can get a little boring but you deal.

Pros: drops lowest homework and allows a "cheat sheet" for all midterms and three for the final
Cons: astronomy is hard
funny teacher, even if he doesn't mean to be. He makes the class enjoyable whereas it would be unbearable
