PHIL 160
Introduction to Ethics

Prof. Sayre McCord is an incredible scholar and lecturer. He can come across as intimidating at first, but he is genuinely concerned about his students' understanding of material. His PHIL160 class, he says, is "An into level class, not an easy class." If you're in his section, expect to work for your grade, but he is very fair. Very interesting class and one of the best profs I've had at UNC.

Dr. Sayre-Mccord is a little confusing at times because he is just so intelligent; however, if one just listens, reads, and attends recitation they will be fine. Although he gives you study guides for the tests they still tend to be difficult.

Really enjoyed this class. I would recommend taking it with Sayre-McCord. He is definitely one of the better professors I have had. Especially, for a first semester freshman.
