BUSI 101 - Management Accounting

CJ is a really cool guy. The class is difficult, but it's not that bad if you keep up by reading the book and doing the homework every week. Taking the practice tests is essential to do well on his tests.

He definitely knows his stuff, but he's not too understanding of people for whom accounting may not come naturally. Instead of explaining where he got a number in a problem he's working through, he'll relate it to some worthless bit of information in his head (e.g. 67, like the year Dayton, UCLA, Houston, and UNC were in the Final Four). Additionally, his frat-boy comportment and veiled racism are not appreciated.

Skender made class enjoyable by making a ton of jokes and showing movies. In fact, he probably wasted too much class time. All in all not a bad business pre req.

Pros: Funny, entertaining, watch movies during class, easy hw, easy course

Cons: early morning, all weight placed on 1 midterm and the final, hw doesn't help with exams at all

This course is really, really easy if you do what you're supposed to. You don't have to go to class every day- every now and then is ok to get some notes on how to do certain problems. Keep up with your hw. It doesn't require that much studying, as long as you do all the practice exams on the course pack and KNOW how to do the problems, it's really easy

Pros: CJ is the best teacher for this class. He takes a very dry subject matter and makes is interesting and very manageable. He tries to break up the monotony of class using music and movies so it is always entertaining to be there!

Cons: There's no getting around it, the subject matter is BORING.

Pros: HILARIOUS

Cons: tests are kinda hard

CJ has a great class, makes waking up at 8am pleasant. He probably could fit all his material into a 50 min class because he spends a lot of class time talking about random trivia and showing clips of his favorite movies. Definitely take this class though

Tedious homeworks that have nothing to do with the tests

Just study the practice tests and you'll be fine - there's no need to go to class.
