Definitely my favorite professor this year. He's funny, and keeps the class interesting. Stewart is really concerned with making sure everyone knows the material well, and is always happy to take students questions. I would definitely recommend him. He assigns a lot of reading from the book but you don't really need to do it. Make sure not to skip the class though -- he takes all his exam questions from his lectures.

My favorite professor so far at Carolina. He is so enthusiastic about the subject. He drops your lowest exam grade, which are very straightforward and fair. He gives readings from the book, but they are absolutely not on the exams, the material comes straight from lecture, so just go to class and study that and you're good! He's also such a nice guy. You'll really enjoy this class

Although the professor is very interested in what he is teaching---unless YOU are EXTREMELY interested in geology I would stay FAR away from this class...
